Our application SBlocker asks to access your Phone Contacts to be able to distinguish what numbers you already know - such calls are then not blocked. Also we need to read your Contacts locally in your phone to avoid any blocking for such calls unless you specify the opposite in the settings of our app (e.g: by blocking a contact in our app).
Allowing our app to have access to your Contact list is only local to your phone, this means we don't have access to it and we never send it to any of our servers any information about your Contacts.
Allowing our app to have access to your Contact list is optional and the app will work fine without having access to it. The options in our app related to Contact list will be disabled since we won't have access to it.
SBlocker for Android, requires your permission to access your Call Log. This access is crucial for the following purposes:
- Analyzing Call Log Data: We analyze your Call Log to identify potential spam and unsolicited callers. This process is automated and helps in effectively blocking unwanted calls.
- Blocking Spam and Unsolicited Calls: Based on the analysis, the app actively blocks calls that are identified as spam or unsolicited, enhancing your calling experience and protecting your privacy.
In addition to the Call Log, our app also requires access to your SMS Log for similar purposes:
- Analyzing SMS Log Data: To further protect you from unsolicited and potentially harmful communications, our app analyzes your SMS Log. This analysis helps us identify and block spam text messages and phishing attempts, ensuring your messaging experience remains secure.
- Blocking Spam and Phishing SMS: Leveraging the insights gained from analyzing your SMS Log, the app can block unwanted texts, safeguarding you from spam and phishing activities.
Data Handling Assurance:
- No Permanent Storage: We do not process or permanently store your Call Log data. The analysis occurs in real-time, and the data is not retained beyond this necessary function.
- Privacy Protection: Your Call Log data is not made available to the public or shared with third parties. We prioritize your privacy and handle this data with strict confidentiality.
By granting this permission, you allow SBlocker to access and use your Call Log for the purposes mentioned above. You can revoke this permission at any time through the app settings, but doing so may affect the app's ability to block spam calls effectively.
